Chimney repair

Not every chimney needs to be completely renovated. Replacing a loose cover plate, sealing a crack in the plasterwork, or replacing a single lead flashing: these are targeted repairs that we often carry out in a single visit, frequently combined with other roofing work so that you do not pay separate call-out charges.

During the inspection, you will be told honestly what suffices. If a repair is sufficient, we advise against renovation; if the chimney is structurally worn out, we will calculate both scenarios for you.

Pointing and leadwork

Pointing and lead flashing are the two lines of defense for your chimney. We chisel out worn joints and repoint them with a mortar that matches the masonry, allowing the wall to continue breathing. We do not apply synthetic repair materials over poor pointing; that actually traps moisture.
