When to replace roof tiles?
Most tiled roofs last fifty years or longer, but the signs of wear are visible sooner: tiles that become porous and absorb moisture, peeling glaze, or increasingly frequent broken or displaced tiles. A roof that lets light through from the inside at the ridge is also a clear sign.
Are you unsure if replacement is necessary yet? You don't have to make that judgment yourself. During the free inspection, we will tell you what the tiles are still worth and how much longer they will last. If repair is sufficient, we will simply tell you that.
Replacing roof tiles and insulating
If the roof tiles are off anyway, that is the perfect time to insulate your roof from the outside. You pay for the scaffolding and labor only once, while your energy bill benefits every month. Moreover, you may be eligible for an insulation subsidy.

Solar panels and your new tiled roof
If you have solar panels, we carefully remove them before the work begins and reinstall them on new mounting brackets afterwards. This prevents outdated brackets or damaged roof tiles under your panels from causing leaks years later.
If you are considering panels instead, we will prepare the roof accordingly: extra anchoring where the hooks will be installed and tiles that can withstand the load. Your installer can then get to work immediately.
Ridge tiles and leadwork in the same job
A tiled roof is only as strong as its details. That is why, when replacing roof tiles, we also take the ridge tilesand the lead and zinc work Include the area around the chimney and skylights in the inspection.
