The Dakdeker team did a fantastic job. They demonstrated professional competence and communicated clearly. They stuck to the quoted price and there were no surprises! The quality is also great; they fixed the poor work another contractor did last year and implemented extra screw reinforcement for the tiles. I will go there next time I have work on the roof!

Excellent work delivered. The workmen were also very friendly. One point of attention is the estimation of the required materials, which caused the work to take longer than necessary (because the workmen had to wait for the new delivery before they could continue). But all in all, I am satisfied.

Had a leak in the bedroom during the night. Called this company very early, and fortunately, someone came by in the morning. A very nice man, polite and helpful. Everything is still dry so far, but it's reassuring to know I now have a place to call in case of emergency. I was a bit shocked by the price because I had new roof tiles lying around myself, but I also had no idea what something like that costs.

Roofer in Zierikzee and on Schouwen-Duiveland
Zierikzee is one of the most monument-rich towns in the Netherlands, and that creates obligations regarding the roof: old roofs with classic tiles, extensive leadwork, and details that require a careful hand. Outside the city gates, however, lie modern neighborhoods and, scattered across the island, homes that catch the full force of the Oosterschelde wind.
We serve both. We restore monumental roofs using appropriate materials and with an eye for the appearance; modern roofs receive storm-resistant pans and solid zinc work. The result in photos, the guarantee in writing.
Are you unsure what is permitted at your property? We will look into the regulations for you and compare the options and prices.

Roofing services in Zierikzee
This is what residents of Zierikzee call us for most often:
Roof repair on monumental roofs in Zierikzee
Old roofs require restoration that suits the building: classic tiles that need to be uncovered, lead flashing that is re-embedded rather than sealed, and mortar that can continue to breathe. Half-hearted work merely postpones the problem for a season at most.
We use appropriate materials for repairs and inform you in advance of any regulations that may apply to monuments and protected cityscapes. You will receive the fixed price and the photographed repairs in writing. The quotation clearly states exactly what we will do and the cost beforehand.
- Suitable material for monumental roofs
- Clarity on rules in advance
- Recovery documented with photos
Repairing storm damage in Zierikzee
The Oosterschelde gives the wind free rein, and Schouwen-Duiveland catches it. After a severe storm, we secure loose tiles and zinc, temporarily seal off open areas, and prioritize the island's planning.
The final repair follows with photos of the damage and a repair quote—exactly the documents your insurer wants to see. This ensures the repair is not delayed by a single day. The preliminary inspection is free and does not obligate you to anything at all.
- Response within 1 hour, even on weekends
- Island scheduled with priority after storm
- Complete documentation for the insurer
Gutters and zinc work in Zierikzee
Zinc wears down faster on the Oosterschelde than inland, and on monumental buildings, the gutter is, moreover, part of the facade's appearance. Replacement here is therefore custom work: the right thickness, the right profile, and seams that are soldered.
We replace gutters and zinc work to be resistant to marine climates, and include valley gutters, capping, and downpipes in the same service. This ensures the entire drainage system is correct again, matching the property. You decide, with all options and associated prices clearly laid out on paper.
- Zinc in marine climate-resistant thickness
- Custom work to match monumental facades
- Complete water drainage assessed at once
Roofer costs in Zierikzee
Size, materials, and labor hours determine the price, and in Zierikzee, suitable materials for monumental buildings are frequently a factor. Because we plan Schouwen-Duiveland by route, distance does not unnecessarily impact your quote.
After the free and no-obligation inspection, you will receive a fixed price in writing, broken down by component. What is stated is what you pay.
For Zierikzee, we include monumental custom work as a separate item, and the island route excludes travel time from your quotation. This ensures that even exceptional work remains predictably priced.
Emergency? A roofer in Zierikzee immediately.
Acute leakage or storm damage on Schouwen-Duiveland? Call immediately 06 219 66 766. We respond within 1 hour, even on weekends, and emergencies on the island take priority in route planning.
As soon as it is safe to do so, we secure loose parts and temporarily seal the roof. This is followed by the permanent repair at a fixed price and with photos for your insurer.
After a storm over the Oosterschelde, we prioritize Schouwen-Duiveland. Report your damage immediately; the roof is often repaired faster than you think.
We work with premium brands
For long-lasting results, we work exclusively with proven quality brands, including Monier, Wienerberger, and Bitasco.
